Hello world!

I’m almost half way through what has become a “re-discovery” of my own country…..Uganda.

Although my experience of the North has been sporadic….being one of 5 photographers part of a USAID/NUTI initiative has been a welcome education.

Previous work in Gulu has been with Watoto…..I was privileged to do some documentation of the rehabilitation of former child soldiers.

And while my work with Watoto was unbelievably enriching….this time around I’m REALLY getting a feel for the Acholi people.

I’m on the ground for a whole 3 months, and that gives this Ugandan a new and in-depth perspective.

There is just so much to share with this assignment in particular…..so many stories.I hope I can do them justice and that my photography captures their heart
